I appreciated Dr. Jerold J. Kreisman's recent comments ("Defending the Drug Man," Guest Editorial, Jan. 15, 2006, p. 9).
I resent the assumption that without intrusive bureaucracies and uncountable regulations, I would engage in irresponsible and unethical conduct. The unchallenged and flawed assumption is that people in business and private practice are suspect, but we can give absolute power to people whose paycheck comes from government.
