"Home on the Range" could well have been the theme song of Goodyear's recent annual meeting because "Seldom was heard a discouraging word," much to the delight of several hundred shareholders, who asked not a single question during the comment period.
CEO and Chairman Stanley Gault, along with his top wrangler, Hoyt Wells, president and COO, provided a whole stampede of favorable statistics on Goodyear's continuing spectacular turn-around.
Gault spelled out the numbers on Goodyear's "third consecutive year of improved financial success" with the following litany:
