DAEWOO ENGINEERING'S 2004 NET PROFIT SOARS ON RISING ORDERS
SEOUL - Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. (KSE:047040), South Korea's No. 3 builder, said Wednesday its net profit surged 61.15 per cent year-on-year last year to 263.9 billion won (US$255.5 million) on increased orders and profitability.
The builder also said in a filing to the Korea Stock Exchange sales rose 12.98 per cent year-on-year to 4.78 trillion won, while operating profit gained 35.67 per cent to 424.2 billion won.
