The fate of about 60 jobs in Perth is hanging in the balance, after administrators were called in to one of the city's most famous companies.

Caithness Glass, which makes and sells paperweights and other glass gifts, has gone into receivership less than two weeks after its parent company made a similar announcement.

Bosses at the firm's headquarters and manufacturing base at the Inveralmond Industrial Estate called in corporate recovery experts Deloitte yesterday.
