A LAST-GASP attempt by Northern Ireland's only publicly-owned airport to keep its secret deal with Ryanair out of the High Court will be heard at a tribunal in October.

The Information Commissioner has confirmed the two-day hearing " involving Derry City Council " will be held in the city's courthouse on October 17 and 18.

In a landmark ruling, Derry City Council, owner of the loss-making City of Derry Airport, was ordered in February to fully disclose its controversial financial arrangements with Ryanair.
