- Proton Holdings Bhd says it has put tighter systems in place to check any lapse in corporate governance in future.
- Budget airline AirAsia Bhd is making a fresh attempt to secure landing rights in Singapore, this time with the support of the Malaysian Government.
- Plantation stocks, supported by firm palm oil prices that hovered near a two-year high, were the best performers on Bursa Malaysia last month, and analysts believe the run is not over.
- Malaysia's Zurex Corp Sdn Bhd, which is building a biodiesel plant in Sabah, has agreed to take control of the UK-listed Biofutures International plc in a deal worth some RM123 million.
- Affin Islamic Bank Bhd expects to increase its assets by up to 15 per cent, from the current RM2.5 billion, by the end of next year.
