SYDNEY, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar was weaker at noon today, with investors nervous ahead of a local interest rate decision tomorrow.
At 1200 AEST the local unit was trading at $US0.7632/36, down from yesterday's close of 0.7663/67.
This morning it reached a low of $US0.7632 and a high of 0.7666.
Grange Securities research director Stephen Roberts said last minute jitters that the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) might not raise interest rates, as expected, was weighing on the unit.
"It's pulled back a bit, but I think that's probably just some nervousness ahead of whatever decision the Reserve Bank makes tomorrow morning," he said.
