TAIPEI, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - The Financial Supervisory Commission reminded the public Monday that starting Aug. 1, those who transfer funds over NT$30,000 (US$916) at any bank in Taiwan must produce a photo ID and allow their personal information to be recorded by the bank.
The commission explained the new measure aims to prevent criminals from laundering their illegal gains through banks.
