SYDNEY, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Australia's biggest soft drinks maker Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) will beef up its bottled water business with the $A7.4 million ($US5.65 million) acquisition of rival water distributor Palm Springs Ltd.
CCA said today it would buy the number two Australian home and office bulk water supplier behind its own Neverfail Springwater brand, following an invitation from the company.
"Palm Springs approached us to purchase its bottled water business and we saw it as an opportunity to leverage the value from our existing home and office water delivery business," CCA managing director Australian operations Warwick White said.
