Jul. 31--NEW YORK -- Yankees general manager Brian Cashman got to bed early Saturday night and was up by 6:30 a.m. Sunday. He knew there would be a long day ahead. Soon he was on the phone with Phillies GM Pat Gillick, working to fit the final pieces in the deal they left on the table the day before. "It's like walking a tightrope," Cashman said after acquiring outfielder Bobby Abreu and pitcher Cory Lidle for four minor leaguers.
