It's tough to talk about being healthy and eating right without addressing where we're getting our food. The debate rages on regarding the dangers of pesticides, genetic engineering, synthetic fertilizers, and growth hormones.
However, scientists can prove that what we eat _ including chemicals and the above-mentioned items _ end up inside our bodies in traceable amounts.
Consider the 2006 study of 23 elementary school children whose normal diet was switched to an organic one for a period of 15 days. Pesticides found in the urinary samples of the school children dropped to undetectable levels following the first day of the introduction to an organic diet.
