WASHINGTON -- The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), in conjunction with the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), has launched the Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program (ADCFP), a program designed to encourage dental students to learn more about and ultimately pursue careers in academic dentistry. ADCFP, which is generously supported by a $100,000 grant from the ADA Foundation, is designed to help lessen the effects of an impending shortage of faculty, which could negatively affect not only the dental education community, but also the oral health of the entire U.S. population.
