Jul. 21--After 66 months of notoriety, the Waterbury labor market in June finally shrugged off its title as the region with the state's worst unemployment rate.
It happened even as 400 more people joined the unemployment rolls, which caused the region's unemployment rate to increase from 5.0 percent in May to 5.3 percent in June.
