A new vaccine has been developed that may ease the minds of millions of women.
This vaccine has been developed to prevent the strands of HPV (human papillomavirus) that have been found to cause cervical cancer. HPV is most prevalent among those ages 18-25 and clears on its own in many women in two to five years.
A study done by Dr. Barbara Ducetman, professor, chair and director of the West Virginia University Department of Pathology, in conjunction with several other doctors at the WVU Hospitals found that approximately one in five women in their study were infected with the virus.…
