SEVE BALLESTEROS goes tilting at windmills in The Open Championship once again this week.

Only this time it's not smouldering ambition but his duty as a father which has persuaded the Spanish legend to risk humiliation on Hoylake's scorched earth.

Seve hasn't played at The Open in the five years since missing the cut in golf's greatest championship for the sixth time in succession at Royal Lytham and St Annes.

And he finished plumb last after shooting two rounds of 81 at the recent French Open Championship, only his second outing in three years on the European Tour.
