THE Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO) has voted by a 55pc majority to accept the terms of the new national pay deal following a postal ballot of 27,000 primary teachers.

The INTO had urged members to accept the package while the two other teacher unions, the Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland and the Teachers Union of Ireland are both recommending rejection.
