Fresh isn't a term frequently used when talking baseball or Pittsburgh, but there's no better word to describe the upcoming All-Star festivities in the Steel City.

Tuesday's midsummer classic (8 p.m. ET, FOX) figures to be a beauty. The 64 All-Stars are convening in 5-year-old PNC Park, widely considered the most sparkling yard in the game.
Fresh approach
Baseball is trying to move into a new era, one clean of performance-enhancing drugs. As slow and painful as the efforts have been, at least the old "we didn't know there was a problem" nonsense is history.
Fresh faces
There have been years in which more players made All-Star debuts--an amazing 30 in 1988, for example--but the difference this time around is the first-timers are very young and they have all the goods to become long-timers.
