To get an opinion from a test rider that better fits the target of the build, we put Beata Kobylecka on the machine for a few spins. Kobylecka has some off-road experience, but is lighter and less aggressive than I. She's a better fit and more of the target of this build.
The first concern was how a newer rider would handle the power, as the 477cc beast certainly wasn't shy. Kobylecka said she was not intimidated by the throttle. In fact, she said the smooth power delivery and overall available power made the machine much easier and comfortable to ride than she had expected. Plus, as a less-confident rider, she counted on the extra grunt to get her out of difficult situations.
When asked how the machine handled, she simply said "I guess I've never ridden an ATV that was supposed to ride well for my size and ability. This is how it should be." She said she was "incredibly impressed" with the YFZ's smooth handling, ease of steering and overall comfort level, not to mention its power.
It's strong enough for a man, but made for a woman. And no, I'm not talking about Secret deodorant! I'm speaking of a custom Yamaha YFZ that could put a smile on the face of...
