Euflexxa was no worse than Synvisc for treating patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, results from a German study demonstrated.
The finding is important because in 2005 Euflexxa became the first hyaluronan product approved by the Food and Drug Administration for osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee that is not derived from chicken combs, one of the study's authors, Dennis Marshall, Ph.D., said in an interview.
