BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 2005--The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE:SGR) today announced that it has completed the sale of 12.85 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $19.50 per share for net proceeds of approximately $238.7 million. In addition, the underwriters have exercised their overallotment option to purchase an additional approximately 1.2 million shares at the public offering price. We expect the closing of the sale of the overallotment option shares to occur on or about April 22, 2005.
