The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 3.34 points, or 0.26 per cent, to 1,291.81 as of 11:20 a.m.
The blue-chip KRX 100 index lost 8.27 points, or 0.31 per cent, to 2,679.12, and the tech-rich KOSDAQ index was down 1.18 points, or 0.20 per cent, at 589.50.
