NEW DELHI, July 3 Asia Pulse - The German-based Bayer Material Science has said it will set up its first polyurethane systems house in the Indian subcontinent in Noida as a part of its expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region.

"The company would be spending close to US$10 million in setting up its first polyurethane systems house in the Indian subcontinent. It will be operational by early next year," the Bayer Group of Companies in India Managing Director Stephan Gerlich told reporters here.

Bayer is looking to use the Indian facility as an export hub and to meet demand in the domestic market, which is expected to grow significantly in the years to come.

When asked about the production capacity of the new plant, Gerlich refused to comment.
