NEW DELHI, July 3 Asia Pulse - France-based company, Topy, which manufactures rubber sheets, soles and heels used in the footwear industry, on Saturday announced its entry into the Indian market, aiming to achieve a turnover of Rs 20 million (US$434,000) in 2006-07.
The company, whose current turnover is 10 million Euro, has appointed Kanpur-based Agarwal Traders as the sole importer and distributor for its products in the country.
"There has been a demand from the Indian footwear industry to import overseas components for its products to ensure better quality of shoes. We think that this is the most opportune time to enter the Indian markets," Topy Director (Exports) Viviane Godineau told reporters here.
