"The date has yet to be set, but it will probably be Monday or Tuesday," a senior official at the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae told Yonhap News Agency by telephone on condition of anonymity.
Another official said the reshuffle decision would likely be made on Monday, but that the announcement may take an extra day because of bureaucratic procedures.
Education Minister Kim Jin-pyo offered to resign on Friday to take responsibility for the mass outbreak of food poisoning at schools late last month.
According to the sources, Kim Byong-joon, former chief presidential secretary for national policy, is likely to be appointed the new education minister.
