In response to Michael Higgins (Letters, 28 June) about "arrest" of the American Soldiers, these soldiers were not arrested by An Garda Siochana they were in fact placed under citizen's arrest by an anti-war activist.
While I don't condone the actions of the lone activist who seems, in your eyes, to have represented the entire Irish nation, I would like to point out that the soldiers were in fact breaking the law.
