JOHNSON & Johnson, the global healthcare giant, is considering a further investment in Ireland that could create up to 1,000 new jobs.
Senior executives from one of its subsidiaries have visited a number of sites in the Munster area, and Tipperary in particular, in its search for a new investment location.
The executives are looking for a well-serviced site capable of holding a 200,000 sq ft facility, indicating an investment of at least 100m.
The multinational has indicated that if it invests it would create 300 jobs within three years and could eventually take on up to 1,000 people.
