Jun. 30--The Mets not only will bring the National League's best record to Yankee Stadium this weekend, they also come bearing an even more surprising distinction. With apologies to sure Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, the Mets not only may have the best left side of the infield in New York, but in all of baseball. It's a testament to how good David Wright and Jose Reyes have been, even if they won't dare admit it. "No, no. Not yet, man," Reyes said. "They're at the top level right now." The argument of which duo is better figures to be debated all over the Bronx this weekend, with the Yankees hosting the Mets for three games. It's an especially intriguing discussion in that the youthful energy of Reyes and Wright embodies the Mets' makeup, while the been-there, done-that nature of Jeter and Rodriguez represents these Yankees, who have been to the postseason 11 straight years. "Mets fans have been quiet for a few years," Jeter said, "and now we'll hear from them a little bit."
