WASHINGTON, June 28 (UPI) -- The number of U.S. consumers planning to take a vacation in the next months has fallen to a 28-year low, perhaps because of rising gasoline prices.
A survey by the U.S. Conference Board showed only 39.8 percent will go on vacation, the fourth such consecutive decline, reports USA Today.
"It's possible that travel is falling victim to rising gas prices and rising costs overall," says one expert.
