On St. Patrick's Day, a Bel Air, Maryland, business owner probably had safety in mind when he went to his bank--presumably to make a deposit--in the Village of Cross Keys, a place described by the Baltimore Sun as "an upscale and gated community." But the gated community didn't furnish him with safety, and when he was attacked by three men, he had to fend for himself.
