The governmental bill for the supervision of financial institutions envisages the abolition of the Insurance Ombudsman. His powers will be transferred to the newly created Financial Supervisory Commission (KNF), according to Artur Zawisza, chairman of the Parliamentary Economy Commission. He believes that the current position of the Ombudsman make him particularly reliant on the Finance Minister.
