THE LURE 
 
   The man in charge of the boat that takes you out to the smaller 
   island, where you will see the famous seabird colonies, 
   the chambered tomb, the geology the retreating ice left behind, 
   dislikes you very much 
   but doesn't show it. You're his livelihood now; 
 
   at the same time, you represent the law that stops him polishing 
   off the last fish his fathers didn't account for, 
   and leaves him this undignified, indirect means 
   Of feeding his kids.
