Northwestern University in Illinois has suspended its women's soccer team from playing pending the results of an investigation of alleged hazing, based on Web photos.
The incident took place last year and reports include pictures of the soccer players wearing only t-shirts and underwear, some with blindfolds and others with their hands taped behind their backs. Some players appear to be drinking alcohol, while some are doing keg stands and lap-dances with members of the men's soccer team.
No players have been suspended from school. "No punishments will be made until after the investigation is complete," said AD spokesperson Mike Wolf. In a statement, Wolf noted that school policy prohibits hazing.
Northwestern also has punished its men's swimming team and the school's mascot for hazing, involving underage drinking, swimming in Lake Michigan when beaches were closed and "additional inappropriate behavior," according ...
