Jun. 18--In his face In a game of hard knocks that included three red cards being issued, American forward Brian McBride took the hardest knock -- an elbow to the face from Italy's Daniele De Rossi in the first half. The bleeding McBride had to leave the field for repairs -- three stitches were required after the game -- but he soon returned.
