Jun. 18--Perhaps there's no better day than Father's Day to look at some of the fathers who gifted their children with enviable sports genes, then received the gift of watching their children carry on their sports legacies. So today, our Father's Day gift to all of you sports fans is a look at the top 10 father-son combinations in sports history and the top 10 with Dallas-Fort Worth professional sports connections. And, because it is Father's Day, we played by this rule: No ties allowed in this package. Bobby and Brett Hull Bobby and Brett are the only father-son combination to win the Hart Trophy, awarded to the NHL's most valuable player. Bobby, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, led the league in points three times and won or shared seven goal-scoring titles. In almost 1,500 games in the NHL and WHA, Bobby totaled 913 goals and 895 assists. Brett won two Stanley Cups and had 741 goals and 650 assists in 1,269 games. Both are among the NHL's top 12 in career goals. Bobby and Barry Bonds Bobby combined power and speed, becoming the second player to reach 300 home runs and 300 steals in a career.
