Jun. 17--MIAMI -- As if the Mavericks needed another loss after the past two games, they suffered a big one Friday.
Mavericks guard Jerry Stackhouse received a one-game suspension for his flagrant foul against Shaquille O'Neal in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. The fiery guard will miss Sunday's crucial Game 5 at AmericanAirlines Arena with the series tied 2-2.
Stackhouse's punishment didn't sit well with the Mavs.
"This is what I call ridiculous," coach Avery Johnson said on his weekly radio show on ESPN/103.3 FM. "The league is so inconsistent. I've been holding my tongue all year about the foolishness, just the foolishness that goes on there. They're so inconsistent.
