The Norwegian unit of the Scandinavian Airlines System has been indicted for unfair use of trade secrets illegally taken from a smaller rival, police said Tuesday.
The unit, SAS Braathens ASA, was accused of accessing confidential passenger and price information on computers used by its domestic rival, Norwegian Air Shuttle, the economic crime police said.
"It is the prosecutor's opinion that information was illegally downloaded and later used by SAS Braathens as part of the company's strategy in competition with NAS (Norwegian Air Shuttle)," the police statement said.
