Jioi Stivin, a versatile Czech musician who specialises in wind instruments, especially the flute, will celebrate the Year of Mozart in Bratislava on June 13 at 19:30.
"I would like to pay tribute to Mozart not only by performing his works well but by improvising a bit for his greater fame," said the artist.
The Bohdan Warchal Slovak Chamber Orchestrawill accompany him.
The centerpiece of the concert will be the Mozart Quodlibet, a playful collage of well-known extracts from Mozarts compositions.
A performance of the Bratislava mens choir Aureus Cantus and soprano Katarina Lofflerova with Czech organist Petr Kolao will enrich the first part of the concert.
