TRIBUTE was paid yesterday by Barney Eastwood to one-time business partner and lifelong friend Alfie McLean who died on Monday aged 77.
Founder of a chain of bookmakers, Mr McLean lived a colourful life in the early days of organised bookmaking in the Province and was a friend of the artist Lucien Freud who painted his portrait several times.
