SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON has always seen Michael Owen as a cold, calculated killer in terms of scoring goals.

And his current injury problems will not change the loyal Swede's view.

Watching Owen feel his way back to form and fitness from a broken foot, it is difficult to see how he is going to suddenly become the clinical goalscorer who can fire England to World Cup glory.
