The EU Commission searched the head office of German utilities group E.ON on Tuesday, along with the headquarters of its energy subsidiary E.ON Energie in Munich. According to reports, the Commission carried out these raids owing to suspicions that the company may have infringed the EU competition laws. It is suspected that E.ON could have signed agreements with competitor RWE regarding the different areas supplied by the companies.
