STEPHENSON'S Newsagents of Crook put behind last season's disappointment in the Robert Taylor National Federation Retail Newsagents 5-a-side Challenge Cup to finally get their hands on the elusive trophy.
The lads enjoyed a 3-0 triumph over Newcastle in the final, at Crowtrees Leisure Centre, courtesy of a Daniel Hawkins hat-trick.
The victory made up for crashing out at the semi-final stage the season before.
Teams from all over the North-East and Cumbria took part in the tournament open exclusively only to paperboys aged 15-years-old and under.
