PARIS, June 1 Asia Pulse - Leading industry chamber FICCI will engage and encourage small and medium enterprises in France to do business with India as part of efforts to increase flow of Foreign Direct Investment from Paris to New Delhi.
The chamber has already initiated a dialogue with Enterprises Rhone Alps International for the purpose.
"We are mounting a programme to create greater awareness about the prospects of doing business in India. For this purpose, we have already started a dialogue with French agency ERAI," Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Saroj Poddar said here.
While large French companies are already present in India, the total FDI from France stood at US$750 million, which was very meagre, he said, adding that the target was to reach US $5 billion in the next few years.
