Anyone using the Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center in Sarasota County on Tuesday morning found a shocking welcome sign at the security checkpoint.
With the photo of a Taser pointed at them, firing the two electrical probes that can deliver 50,000 volts of electricity, came a warning:
This Taser may be used against anyone "displaying combative or resistant behavior."
It turns out the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office made several copies of the poster to be hung for inmates to see when they enter the courthouse, spokesman Lt. Chuck Lesaltato said.
