May 31--When the cops showed up at Jennifer Karagiannis' Island Park home over the holiday weekend, she was unaware her mother had been stabbed repeatedly and that her body lay in a nearby bedroom. "She came home and didn't know her mother had been killed," said Domenica Califano, a close family friend. "Thank God."
