Southern China is clearing up after Typhoon Chanchu swept along the coast.
The typhoon came ashore between Guangdong and Fujian provinces as a category-2 storm, with winds of up to 110 miles an hour. Chanchu was soon downgraded to a tropical storm and dissipated in the East China Sea over the next day or so.
