Bruce Carnegie-Brown's surprise resignation as chief executive of Marsh's Europe and Middle East region after three years in the role has prompted a management reshuffle and regional alignment with world time zones.
Alex Moczarski, previously head of international speciality operations - which deals with everywhere outside of North America and Europe - has replaced Mr Carnegie-Brown, whose role was expanded from just the UK in February 2005.
The change sees Bill Malloy, president of Marsh, take over a new Latin America, Caribbean and North American division. Asia and Pacific will become a stand-alone region led by David Batchelor, currently region head of Asia.
A spokesman for Marsh said: "The emergence of Asia and the Pacific as a mature market with a growing base of companies means it can stand by itself."
