Prague, May 30 (CTK) - The sale of organic food in the Czech Republic has been rising steadily in recent years, having grown by a third in 2005 against 2004, but still lags behind organic food consumption in western Europe. Organic food still accounts for only one tenth of a percent in overall food consumption in the Czech Republic. Each Czech spends Kc35 on average annually on organic food, which is just 3 percent of the average amount spent in western Europe.
