SYDNEY, May 31 Asia Pulse - Australia's trade deficit narrowed in April as mineral exports recovered from storm-related weakness but a better improvement in the balance is still not expected for some time.

New figures today showed Australia's trade gap shrank to .09 billion ($US828.35 million) in April from a downwardly revised $1.51 billion in March.
