BANGKOK POST:
- The Ministry of Tourism and Sports yesterday sought co-operation from tourism operators to help boost tourism revenue to compensate for slower economic growth over the next seven months.
- The Administrative Court has agreed to accept TOT Plc's petition seeking to overturn an arbitration ruling earlier this year ordering it to pay billions of baht to True Corp over access charges.
- Politics will only have a marginal impact on Thailand's economy this year, as exports and agricultural income are both expected to be on par with last year, according to M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, the governor of the Bank of Thailand.
- Local retail petrol prices are likely to surpass 30 baht a litre as global oil prices remain high, according to caretaker Energy Minister Viset Choopiban.
- Thai shares fell 0.63 per cent yesterday as most Asian markets closed lower on fears of rising global interest rates and following a sell off overnight on Wall Street.
