NEW DELHIi, June 1 Asia Pulse - State-owned BSNL has delayed opening bids for its mega GSM tender of 45.5 million lines by two weeks as equipment vendors have sought more time.
Even though all clarifications were submitted to vendors they have still requested for an additional two-week time to meet the necessary conditions before opening the bids.
"We have extended the date till June 12," S D Saxena, Finance Director, BSNL said.
The 18 leading telecom and IT companies including Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Cisco and HP have expressed interest in bidding for 45.5 million GSM line to be added by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
